Will Avanafil fulfill its promises? To start, there have been no promises as such. It is still in the trial tests and research. Have the tests gone well? We would have to say yes they have according to the reports that have been released. Is there room for more Erectile Disorder medication on the market where there already seems to be enough? These and other questions will yet to be seen as time goes on. Vivus Inc. may indeed have hit a homerun with Avanafil. The reason being is perhaps two fold. One, from the reports, it seems like Avanafil will start working quicker than other forms of Erectile Dysfunction treatment. I believe this has an immense impact on its marketability.
The details of sexual behavior vary from person to person, but one thing that is vastly common is once two are truly in the mood, the thought of having to wait longer than sooner is absurd. At times a pill taken one hour before hand may prove to be sufficient but there are times where that would just seem too long. This is a definite advance that Avanafil could have over the competition. The other factor is the supposed less side effects. If this ultimately proves to be the case, it would also be a huge marketing factor. Some men may be weary to try a medication for ED in fear of side effects but if its side effects affect less people, than there could be more of a chance that someone would try it. More importantly however is that if a man is currently taking an ED medication and has found that there are side effects that are bothersome, he may be very willing to see if this new medication will come without the extra hassles. Doctors of first timers may even want to prescribe the new medication based on few side effects reported.
All people react slightly different to medications. Person A may respond well to a prescribed ED treatment but Person B may not. Person A may find that treatment X works the best with their body chemistry. Person B may find that treatment Y works better for them. It is this reason alone that if Avanafil is presented to the FDA at sometime and is ultimately passed, that it could do very well on the market. With ED affecting so many middle aged and older men, I think that another medical treatment on the market would probably do fine. ED is a very profitable in the marketplace for Pharmaceutical companies and this helps drive the competition for better drugs. If the disorder only affected 0.01% of the male population, the research, study, time and money to produce a product would most likely not be as high. Is Avanafil a Pharmaceutically refined superior product, essentially identical to the others or will it prove to be inferior and go the medical recycling bin? Time will tell.
