Everything you need to know about Tadalafil

It’s time to address the elephant in the room. Whose trunk isn’t doing its job? If you’ve experienced erectile dysfunction — a.k.a ED — before, know that you aren’t alone and help is here in the form of a chewable pill, called Tadalafil.
Wondering what Tadalafil is? We’ve broken it down with all you need to know right here.
How does it work?
Here’s a bit of science for you. Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor. So this type of medicine functions by blocking the action of an enzyme called PDE5.
When you become aroused, nerve endings trigger a release in nitric oxide which stimulates the action of a chemical called cGMP which acts as a messaging channel. It plays an important role in the dilation of blood vessels, which is necessary for the movement of blood around various parts of the body.
What is it used for?
Tadalafil helps to treat problems such as erectile dysfunction (ED) by increasing blood flow to the penis, enabling you to get and keep an erection. It is also used to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate by relieving symptoms including weak stream, difficulty in beginning the flow of urine, urgent need to urinate and frequent urination as it helps to relax the muscles in the prostate and bladder.
What makes Tadalafil different to other ED treatments?
Tadalafil is one of the better medications on the market for ED. Whilst it takes a similar amount of time to take effect, when it does, the effects last for much longer than other medications. We’re talking approximately 36 hours — and that’s why it has been coined the term ‘weekend pill’.
